To Some Good Friends!
Amy & Robert
THE HERITAGE
There’s a place in North Carolina
Where people can go to relax.
It’s a wonderful campground
Located near the Town of Vass.
It’s run by a Lady named Amy
Her partner Robert’s there to help
For a good time camping
Check The Heritage out.
There’s a Freshwater Lake
Where you can fish or swim
Amy will be there with her Golf Cart
To help you get checked in.
There’s not enough camping places
Especially places like this
And everyone you ask will agree
Amy and Robert are simply the best.
John and Barbara Gregoski

07 November 2011 Hi Amy,
I just wanted to say what a wonderful time I
had as did Claudia, at your Saturday event....of
course the chili contest was just the start of a
unique and really delightful experience of
fellowship and fun. Thanks to you, with your
special touch, there's an environment where
people who are often strangers to each other,
some shy, others with different beliefs, can
still get together over a bonfire with all the
food and have a great party....I haven't been
near someone with a guitar for more years than I
want to remember, but it was something I would
never want to miss.
Thank you for sharing with us so generously
your family property, it's no wonder you love
the place and everything you do radiates the
care and devotion you have for it. We (Claudia,
me and of course Nancy) all very much hope that
things turn out well for you, as you are very
deserving. And certainly, if your parents are
looking down on all this, they are very pleased
with what you do.
Sincerely,
Sara L. . .

Amy,
Sorry I am not good at saying goodbye. Thanks so
much for our enjoyable stay at your campground.
Had a really good time. You, Robert and Michelle
are really special and made our stay great.
Thanks too for shuffleboard - brought back so
many memories for me of my childhood. Campfire
was fun, we and dogs enjoyed beach time. Hope we
can come back next year. Thanks so much to
Robert for blue grass info - so fun - new to us.
So glad we met you. You are forever in my
memories.

try to get that one again.
Thanks

Amy,
Here are some of the photos that I took over the time we
stayed at your campground....I had promised to send them
to you. Hope there is something among them that you can
use on your website.... :-)
As you can see, I am a much bigger fan of nature photos
than I am of people photos...(sorry about that). :-)
Will send a few more over the new couple of emails.
Feel free to use whatever you can.
Please remember to thank Kaye for me, for giving me the
remainder of that delicious cranberry relish, and for
trusting me with the loan of her storage dish. I left it
(washed) by her camper door (left side), and hope she
found it okay.
Thank you, also, for the delicious Thanksgiving meal
that you orchestrated....for all your hard work, up
cooking at the wee hours of the morning....and for the
TLC that you so generously put into everything you
presented to your guests. It was a wonderful
Thanksgiving, and we have many warm and happy memories
to cherish, because of sharing in the celebration of
thanksgiving with everyone at Heritage Campground.
God bless you and keep you,
Kristin

Robert & Amy,
We were so blessed to find your campground
in 2008, & happy to be back!
This is one of the photos I took while walking
your beautiful property. You guys do a great
job keeping it a comfy nature retreat.
May God bless you both.

Dear Amy and Robert:
Your web site is great but not nearly as great as
being a part of the Heritage. We have been associated
with Heritage Campround since the early 90's. We
first camped there and stored a rig. Your Mother was
the best. She always gave us that beautiful southern
smile and charm. For years we stored our various
RV's, and finally in late 2007 we set up a rig on a
more extended basis. Nothing beats getting up early
and enjoying a cup of coffee on our site or walking by
the lake. This is a bird haven. After setting up our
site we immediately went shopping for bird feeders and
just the right food.
Our experiences are endless but always wonderful. We
look very forward to this Thanksgiving... We have
camped all across the USA but nothing beats the
Heritage. We look forward to many wonderful times in
the future.

Dear Amy,
Just a note to let you know how much
Karin, Sheba, and I enjoy and appreciate The Heritage.
Karin and I
have camped in most of the states in the continental
United States. Nowhere in the country have we found
more peace and quiet than at The Heritage. Your
excellent management and oversight allow us to know that
we are guaranteed a totally relaxing visit.
Your camping
rules, and your enforcement of the rules, mean that we can
lay back and enjoy the tranquility we are looking for.
Your family friendly environment is something that lots of
campgrounds promise, but only a few actually deliver.
I have yet to meet an unfriendly person at The Heritage.
Your
campground is also one of the cleanest and best maintained
that we have visited. With your phone number posted
everywhere, we know that any problem is solved
immediately.
Your
campground nature setting leads to a totally peaceful
visit. The lake, beach, trails, flora and fauna are
enjoyable for both recreation and solitude. It seems
that we find something new and interesting on every visit,
even after all these years.
Your cookouts
and pig pickin's are a perfect blend of social interaction
and great food. As a proud member of the "Pig
Staff", I really look
forward to having people come by the
cooker all day and chat or ask questions. This is
the first such experience for many of the guests from
out of state. They all seem to
enjoy and come away with something to tell their friends
when they get back home.
To sum up, we
have enjoyed every visit and consider "The Heritage" our
home away from home. We sincerely look forward to
many visits in the future.
Ted J.

Great, great campground! We loved it so much we stored our
camper there for over a year and we live just 2 hours away.
Very quaint, quiet and immaculate grounds. Amy sets and
enforces rules, which makes for a comfortable and safe stay.
The entertainment is so much fun, just a really nice place
to stay for long or short term camping.

Hey Amy,
I just wanted to take a minute and tell you what a wonderful
time all of us had last week the only problem was the time
went by TOO FAST. I enjoyed my stay and our time we spent
talking, I really enjoy the personal touch you give with each
visitor. Allan, Teresa, Earl and Barbara also had a great
time. Take care and we will see you next trip.
Sincerely,
Mike . . .

This is a real out of the way
gem. Amy will make you feel like you are right at home and have been
coming to see her all your life even if it is your first time there.
The shower and bath facilities are spotless and roomy with plenty of
hot water. It was 25$ for the night on a spot with water and
electric. The deep smell of pine is everywhere and it was so laid
back and quiet at night we slept way late into the morning
